Mike & Sheryl Ryan had
always envisioned eventually selling their home in Lake
Grove and using the profit for additional retirement
income when they downsized and relocated to an area that
most senior citizens dream of. What they had not counted
on was the escalating costs in the real estate arena.
Though they could sell their home for more money than they
originally planned, in spite of declining real estate
values, that additional “profit” was quickly eroded when

great interest in their home by holding open houses,
continually advertising pictures of their home in
publications from the city line to Montauk Point,
networking with brokers from other offices throughout Long
Island and bringing their own buyers to view the Ryan
home. They had mortgage personnel available to make sure
that interested buyers would qualify for a mortgage. They
conveniently arranged all the appointments, interacted
with attorneys and expertly negotiated on the Ryan’s
behalf.
The Ryan’s sold their
home. They paid Park Ridge Realty a commission for
their full service program. The Ryan’s calculated that
with the other realtors they interviewed they would have
paid them between $5,000 to $10,000 more in commissions
and they don’t know if they would have provided the same
high standard of service.
Needless to say, The
Ryan’s are recommending Park Ridge Realty to
